EL PASO CHAPTER - WHAT WILL WORKERS' COMP REFORM MEAN TO TEXAS NONSUBSCRIBERS?

High costs and low satisfaction continue to plague the Texas workers' compensation system and have prompted lawmakers to undertake another reform effort when they convene next Tuesday, January 11th.
Steve Bent, TXANS' Executive Director will offer a look ahead at the 79th session of the Texas Legislature with particular emphasis on the new reform proposals and how they could affect Texas nonsubscribers. Mr. Bent's presentation will also include new statistical data on both subscribing and nonsubscribing employers-data which relates to subscriber and nonsubscriber claim costs, injury rates, insurance costs and the types and percentages of businesses that operate as nonsubscribers.
Meeting times and locations are listed below. Registration and lunch: 11:30-12:00. Presentation: 12:00-1:00. Attendance is by invitation only and reservations are required at least 48-hours prior to the event. Space may be limited in certain cities and admittance is not guaranteed without a reservation.
