HOUSTON CHAPTER - IDENTIFYING LEGAL DEFENSES FOR NONSUBSCRIBERS
Meeting Date: 05/12/2005
Travis Brewer, a nonsubscriber defense attorney, will identify legal defenses available to Texas nonsubscribers and explain the connection between said defenses and the claim decisions of many employers, insurers and adjusters.
Mr. Brewer will rely on actual examples from recent nonsubscriber cases—cases that were either arbitrated or litigated. Mr. Brewer will also examine what he refers to as the most common misconception regarding negligence defense—the 1% negligence issue.
Travis Brewer is an Austin attorney that defends nonsubscribing businesses throughout the State of Texas.
This program is not only designed to serve nonsubscribing businesses but also companies and individuals involved in insurance, healthcare, claims administration, risk management and more.
