TXANS's News/Press Releases09/13/2006 TXANS SUPPPORTS NATIONAL EMERCENCY PREPARDNESS PROGRAMThe Texas Association of Responsible Nonsubscribers-TXANS is a member of the National Preparedness Month Coalition, which is comprised of more than 1,000 national, state and regional organizations. Through this effort, TXANS and other organizations across America will help and encourage their members to prepare for all types of emergencies.
Organizational participation is an integral part of a new national effort to encourage Americans to become better prepared for potential emergencies—emergencies that could occur in their homes, businesses, schools and communities. The effort is being led by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
To support this important effort TXANS has distributed information to members via its publications while also posting helpful guides, checklists, posters and more in TXANS Knowledge Center. The October 2006 issue of TXANS News© will also feature additional information on workplace emergency preparedness that is specific to Texas nonsubscribers.
